Local Learning has a successful track record spanning 19+ years in delivering skills, qualifications and employability support to thousands of adults with the greatest barriers to learning and employment. We provide a high quality information advice and guidance service which enables staff, students, employers and enquirers to make informed choices about ways in which they can meet their individual training and development needs.

All our staff have extensive teaching experience and use their bi-lingual skills to provide IAG, assessment & supported learning in communities where we operate from.

As a sub-contractor to a large National training provider, we were able to expand our provision to 4 centres in Bristol and within 4 years and in 2007 we had a major expansion to our delivery which lead to opening a further 6 centres in regions such as West Midlands, South East, East Midlands and Yorkshire & Humberside. We employed over 70 staff during this period with a strong management team to ensure smooth operation of the business.

Over the years we have delivered tens of 1000’s of qualifications in English, Maths, IT, ESOL, Employability and sector specific qualifications such as Security, Health & Social Care, Transport, Retail, Hospitality and Business Administration and Community & Voluntary sectors.

We have a good working relationship with local SME employers and have arrangements in place to offer work experience and job interviews where possible for our learners.

Since the many of the regions have become devolved and the transfer of funding from central to local Government we have focused on our centres in Bristol and Derby where we are working to help support local residents in these communities by upskilling them and supporting them with getting into employment or progressing to further education.
